Who’s the Image of God?
Every person on Earth is made to reflect God’s image. This means that no matter who they are or where they come from, they carry a part of God within them. In the Bible, Genesis 1:26 says, “Let us make human beings in our own image, to be like us.” This isn’t just a saying; it’s a truth that should shape how we see ourselves and others.
Understanding God’s Image
God is a spirit, and since we are made in His image, we too have a spiritual side. This spiritual side is the core of who we are, more than just our physical bodies. Recognizing this helps us understand that everyone has a divine spark within them.
Seeing Others Through God’s Eyes
When we look at our family, friends, teachers, or even strangers, we should remember that they are all reflections of God. Jesus taught that whatever kindness we show to others, it’s like we’re showing it to Him. This perspective encourages us to treat everyone with love and respect.
Living Out God’s Love
Since God is love, and we are made in His image, our main purpose is to love others. This means being patient, kind, and forgiving. When we love others, we are showing that we understand and embrace the divine image within us and them.
Let’s make it a daily goal to see and honor the image of God in everyone we meet. By doing this, we not only uplift others but also grow closer to God ourselves.
