King Saul was chosen by God to be the first king of Israel. He was tall, handsome, and seemed perfect for the role. When he became king, God gave him a new heart, as mentioned in 1 Samuel 10:9: “As Saul turned and started to leave, God gave him a new heart, and all of Samuel’s signs were fulfilled that day.” However, over time, Saul disobeyed God’s commands and became jealous of David, even trying to harm his own son because of this jealousy.

Today, some Christians might act like Saul. They say they believe in Jesus, pray, and go to church, but their actions don’t always match their words. They might do things that God doesn’t like and think it’s okay.

The Bible tells us to be examples for others. In Matthew 5:16, it says, “Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” This means our actions should show others what it means to follow Jesus.

People around us notice how we act. They watch to see if there’s something different about us because we follow Jesus. If we act just like everyone else, how can we show them a better way?

2 Corinthians 3:2-3 says, “You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everyone. You show that you are a letter from Christ.” This means our lives are like letters others read to learn about Jesus.

God wants us to live in a way that shows His love and truth. It’s not enough to say we believe; our actions must match our faith. By doing this, we can help others see the goodness of God and inspire them to follow Him too.
